Get Organized

Progressing Forward Series
get organized
Femi Ojo | 14 May 2023
In the first message in this series, we established the fact that God desires for all His children to progress forward in life. He desires so much so that He sent His only begotten son, our Lord Jesus, to the Earth to model what it means to progress forward in life.
We also established that in order to begin progressing forward in life, we need to receive a dream for our lives from God.
After receiving or gaining more clarity about God’s dream for our lives, the next thing we need to do in order to continue on the journey of progressing forward in life is to Get organized.
Specifically, we need to get our lives organized for progressing forward. In other words, we need to structure our lives in such a way that it can sustainably make the journey from where we are to the dream destination that God has envisioned for our lives.
1. Know who God has created you to be.
Matthew 4:12 NLT
Action Plan: Pay close attention to your natural abilities and talents, past experiences. Embrace the opportunities to try new activities or tasks. Take personality tests.
2. Be comfortable with who God has created you to be.
Gen 37-48 NLT
Action Plan: Keep praying to God for more clarity about who you are in Christ Jesus. Ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. Live with confidence.
3. Have a God-inspired plan.
Habakkuk 2:2 GNT Nehemiah 1 NLT
Action Plan: Based on God’s dream for your season of life, come up with a plan to bring the dream to life. Follow God’s specific instructions to you. Stay and thrive where God has placed you.
4. Stay focused.
Nehemiah 6 NLT
Action Plan: Keep your dream and plan in view at all times. Don’t get distracted. Avoid projects, activities or relationships that can set you off course.
Final Note: Getting organized is a key step to progressing forward in life. The steps listed above are some of the important ones that help you get started.
