One of the key ingredients for Progressing Forward is having the capacity required to attain God’s dream for our lives.
Specifically, I’m talking about having the spiritual and mental ability to perform, produce, or deploy resources in such a way that we progress forward in life.
When we look to Jesus, who is our perfect example, there are 2 areas where He Built capacity: Spiritual & Intellectual.
3 things Jesus did to build spiritual capacity:
1. He studied scriptures.
Luke 4:16 NLT
Action Plan: Read the Bible daily. Read the Bible in Christian gatherings. Read the Bible in your spare moments. Have a routine for studying the Bible.
2. He prayed
Luke 5:16 NLT, NCV
Action Plan: Prayer continually throughout the day. Have a routine. Regularly join other believers for prayers.
He kept company with believers.
John 4 NLT
Action Plan: Fill up your inner circle with believers with shared values. Be intentional about the media you consume. Be selective of the people, content and platforms that have access to your mind and heart.
3. He kept company with believers.

Action Plan: Fill up your inner circle with believers with shared values. Be intentional about the media you consume. Be selective of the people, content and platforms that have access to your mind and heart.
2 things to learn from Jesus to build intellectual capacity:
1. He built His language and communication skills.
Matthew 13 NLT Luke 15:11-31 10:30-37 NLT
Action Plan: Keep building your language skills through learning and intentional media consumption. Improve your communication ability through practice.
2. He acquired knowledge of different industries/sectors
Mark 6:3 NLT
Action Plan: Take the necessary steps to acquire knowledge and experience in your industry through books, courses, communities and other materials. Take interest in other industries.
Final Note: It is impossible to Progress Forward in life towards our God-given dreams if we do not build capacity. Every single person in scriptures who made an impact did so on the backdrop of building capacity.
You need to Build Your Spiritual and Intellectual Capacity. Following the patterns modelled by our Lord Jesus as highlighted above will help you.
