Streams of Income

In life, God blesses you with money and other financial resources through streams of income, and in every season of your life, there’s always a particular stream of income or streams of income that God uses to sustain you.
So, if you want to grow a money tree system in your life, such that you are able to enjoy God’s financial resources in every season of your life, you need to identify and take advantage of the streams of income that God makes available to you in every season.
4 Lessons on Streams of Income from Elijah
1. Streams of income are products of being on assignment for God.
Elijah was on assignment for God and of a necessity God had to provide for him and take care of him.
1 Kings 17:1 NLT
Action Plan: Get God’s guidance in your professional choices. Follow the instructions that come with the guidance- even if uncomfortable or unconventional.
2. Streams of income don’t always last forever
God initially used the Kerith Brook and the ravens as a stream of resources for Elijah but it ceased when the brook dried up.
1 Kings 17:7 NLT
Action Plan: Be vigilant for God’s prompting and physical signs that a money stream is coming to an end.
3. Let God lead you to your next stream of income.
God instructed Elijah on what to do next after his current stream of resources dried up.
1 Kings 17:8-9 NLT
Action Plan: Get God’s guidance for your next career decision whether it be a new job, skill, business or product line.
4. Getting new streams of income requires faith, boldness and wisdom.
You would expect that God would have prepared the heart of the widow of Zarephath for the coming of Elijah, but that wasn’t the case.
1 Kings 17:10-16 NLT
Action Plan: Prayerfully take the bold step of faith towards the next stream . Keep growing in your Christian journey.
Final Note: God uses diverse streams of money to sustain you in life when you are on assignment for Him. Sometimes, some streams will dry up and you will need to get a new stream with God’s help by prayerfully taking bold steps of faith.
2 Things You Need to Overcome
1. Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
Action Plan: Understand that fear is part of man’s falling nature. Keep growing in maturity in your walk with God.
2. Weakness
2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
Action Plan: Identify your weakness(es) and intentionally [prayers, scriptures & Holy Spirit] seek God’s help in outgrowing them.
Final Note: True wealth is the product of a life with God in which you are making changes and adjustments as God instructs while overcoming fear and our weaknesses. You sustain this God-given wealth through discernment and maturity.
