Reposition Like Jesus

In the first message of this series, we established the fact that God repositions our lives from time to time in order to fulfill his plans and purposes for our lives.
And reading through scriptures, we see our God had to reposition Jesus in order to be able to transition Him from carpentry to kingdom ministry. He had to go through this transition because right from the time of His birth God had a plan and purpose for His life.
Today our lives are no different. God has plans and purposes for us, and there are a number of lessons we can learn from how our Lord Jesus repositioned His life in scriptures.
5 lessons from the life of Jesus to help you reposition your life:
1. Recognize when it's time to reposition.
Action Plan: Pay attention to changes in your heart, and recognize patterns.
2. Find the people who are forerunners to support your repositioning.
Matthew 3:13 NIV: Then Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John.
Action Plan: Intentionally find the people who can support your repositioning, and immerse yourself in their knowledge.
3. Retreat for a deep connection with God.
Luke 4:1 AMP: Now Jesus, full of [and in perfect communication with] the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness.
Action Plan: Take out time to connect [fast, pray & study] with God deeply.
4. Preserve yourself [your life].
Matthew 4:12 NLT: When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he left Judea and returned to Galilee.
Action Plan: Do all you can to stay focused and positive.
5. Reposition where you are accepted. With acceptance comes help.
Luke 4:28-29 Easy English: The people in the meeting place heard what Jesus said. They became very angry. They stood up and they made him leave the town.
Action Plan: Move on if you are not accepted. Settle when you are accepted.
Repositioning your life can be a daunting task- especially when it involves major life change like relocation, career and marriage. However, there's good news as our Lord Jesus left valuable and practical lessons to help us get through seasons of repositioning. God will help you in Jesus name, Amen!
